The contribution of women to the cultural, socio-political and economic fields was recognised Thursday in the northern Uige province by the provincial vice governor Maria Fernandes da Silva e Silva. 

This was during a lecture promoted by provincial committee of the ruling MPLA party youth wing (JMPLA).

The official said that woman has demonstrated a certain level of understanding, with moral, cultural, spiritual, academic characteristics that contribute to the country's development in various spheres.

According to her, this attitude ensures the enjoyment of equal opportunities, adding that the female participation in various positions of governance encourages and plays a key role in the discovery of more ideas.

" When we analyse the role of women in terms of their inclusion in public and private life, particularly in our country, we recall that we are better off and we can say that we are on track ," she underlined.
