The royal approach in favor of the promotion of youth and women's conditions was fostered anew through the inauguration by HM King Mohammed VI, on Wednesday in Sefrou, of two centers for women's training and youth competence development respectively.

Carried out by the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity for 8.15 million dirhams, the two projects mirror the sovereign's commitment to be receptive to the legitimate expectations of young people and women, as shows the particular, continuous royal solicitude for the human capital, a cornerstone of every development policy.

The women's training and qualification center will enable the beneficiaries, in precarious situation, to foster their competences and promote their socio-economic conditions, mainly through illiteracy courses and initiation into local income-generating jobs. It will also provide preschool education for these women's kids.

The new facility houses culinary, pastry, sewing, embroidery, knitting, hair-dressing and ceramic workshops. It also includes an illiteracy classroom, an orientation room, a hall for product sale and exhibition, a daycare, and a computer room.

As for the youth's training and competence development center, it is part of the Foundation's program aimed at ensuring a better socio-economic and professional integration for this social segment.

It will strengthen the beneficiaries' participation in social life through community-based activities, training and support to set up small enterprises. The center also provides the infrastructure and tools necessary for sport activities.

The new facility comprises workshops for music, painting and audio-visual training, supervision rooms for associations and cooperatives, computer rooms, and language and remedial education rooms. It includes also a multi-purpose room, a youth employment and orientation office, a library, a reception and exhibition hall and a games hall.

On this occasion, HM the King handed a 2 million dirham-equipment to three associations and 13 local cooperatives.

The Sovereign also gave the keys of two ambulances worth 684,000 dirhams to the rural communes of Ait Sbaa Lajrouf and Ighezrane.
